Protection Plan Changes
What?
We will be migrating our Avast Security program to a new platform. This is mostly a backend upgrade on our side, but it does provide additional benefits for our customers.
Why?
The new platform we are migrating to is more modern and has greater management capabilities than our current platform. Additionally, the new platform allows Avast and Click-it to deploy new and improved features for our customers.
When?
We will need to manually upgrade each Avast Security Suite. We will reach out to each customer to schedule a time to install the new Avast Suite. Please be patient as this will be a lengthy process.
Featured Updates
Webcam Shield
Prevents applications and malware from accessing your PC’s webcam without your consent. With Webcam Shield enabled, untrusted applications cannot capture images or videos, or send the content outside of your PC to compromise your privacy.

Passwords
Prevents applications and malware from viewing, changing, or deleting passwords that are saved in your Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Avast Secure Browser browsers.

USB Protection
Prevent employees from using unauthorized removable storage devices including flash drives, external drives, memory cards, etc. Block, control, and monitor USB ports to stop data theft and malware infections.
Patch Management
Automatically runs security updates for your Windows operating system and third-party applications. Fixing vulnerabilities in software that are susceptible to cyberattacks.

What Avast level will I get?
Your current plan will determine the level of Avast Security program you will have.

Is the price of my plan changing?
Currently there are no price changes as a result of this upgrade. We have only added prices for the Avast Premium and Ultimate tiers.
When will I receive my upgrade?
We are reaching out to customers slowly to schedule times to upgrade the software. This process will take several weeks to months. Please do not be concerened with the delay as we are getting everyone migrated to the new platform.
I only have Avast and not a Protection Plan?
If you currently have the standalone Avast CloudCare software. You will be migrated to the Avast Essential Business Security level.
I would like to upgrade to my tier of Avast Security.

I received my upgrade, but nothing changed?
The new Avast Business Security suite is based upon the same base program as the previous program Avast CloudCare. Most of the modules have remained exactly the same, with the additions of the ones listed on this page. Some of these new modules such as the Patch Management do not have an interface on the user end. Most of the upgrades to this new platform are on our management end, so we can better serve our customers.
